What We Offer

The Cardiff Yemeni Community Association (CYCA) is a community based organisation that seeks to represent and support the long-existing Yemeni community in Cardiff. It strives to serve both the Yemeni population in Cardiff and also contribute and assist in the wider communities surrounding it. Many Yemeni associations in the UK are dedicated to the perseverance of their ancestral traditions and cultural identity, the survival of the Arabic language and community and education of future generations about Yemen and what they can do now that a major conflict has broken out. This is fundamental to the work the Cardiff Yemeni Community Association do.

Supporting and sponsoring the issues that concern the community in relation to governmental institutions and other administrative bodies.

Assisting the elderly and people with special needs, providing them the necessary assistance and support, setting up activities and programs that help them overcome life difficulties.

Focusing on women issues and establishing awareness-raising activities, programs and skills to qualify young people, establishing educational, sports and recreational activities for children that help them develop their mental, physical and intellectual capabilities.

Providing the whole community with educational, health, social and recreational services, holding seminars, artistic evenings, recreational trips and various sports activities.

Deepening the bonds of understanding and friendship between members of the Yemeni community and other communities and society, helping in achieving harmony and peaceful coexistence, and providing the required advice and consultation on the prevailing nature of social life.

Preserving and reviving the Yemeni heritage, introducing the Yemen's civilization to British society, its traditions and its various components, and exchanging knowledge and cooperation to demonstrate the Yemeni heritage.
